Eligibility 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Vernacular as compulsory subjects securing at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and pass marks (30%) in English & each individual subject from a recognised Board of Education.
Admission Procedure - The admission for 80% seats is based on the score in the Joint Entrance Examination for admission to Engineering, Medical and Dental Colleges (JEM) conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (For details visit http://wbjeeb.in)/ 10% seats are filled on the basis of score in the AIEEE Exam conducted by C.B.S.E (For details visit www.aieee.nic.in)/ The remaining 10% seats are filled through Management Quota as per qualification prescribed by the Government of West Bengal. The qualified candidates are required to appear in the counselling conducted by Central Selection Committee (Engineering & Technology), West Bengal (For details visit www.csc-et.in).
Under Lateral Entry - Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering from West Bengal State Council of Technical Education or any such Diploma from a recognized Board of Technical Education with 60% marks/ B.Sc. with Mathematics as a subject with 60% marks from a recognised University.
The admission is based on the score in the Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Examination (JELET) conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (For details visit http://wbjeeb.in).
Duration – Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for lateral entry candidates.
